Antique Copper Spectrum Nove Stoneware Glaze 1537
Description
The glazes in the Spectrum Nova Series are food safe if fired to the proper firing temperature.
The main difference between the NOVA series and the Stoneware Glazes is that NOVA glazes are mainly formulated from raw materials, such as Kaolin, feldspar, oxides ETC. rather than frits and ceramic stains which are used in the stoneware glazes.
There are two significant benefits from using raw materials. Firstly they are less expensive which leads to more economical pricing, secondly raw materials are less dense than frits and stains which makes them easier to suspend in water.

"A beautiful glaze with consistently good results. When fired at Cone 6 it gives a deep mossy green with lots of variations of tone. Very glossy and non drip. "
