Light Red Amaco Velvet Underglaze V383
Description
Light Red Velvet Underglaze is a light coral red that is bright at cone 05, softens slightly at cone 5, and becomes darker and slightly glossy at cone 10. A clear glaze accentuates the color nicely at any temperature.

AMACO Velvet underglazes if left unglazed they have the appearance of velvet. They will intensify in colour when covered with a Clear Transparent or Gloss glaze.
The Velvets are very rich colours and can be used for an all over coverage. They fire true to colour when applied from the jar and may be intermixed to create a palette of hundreds of colours.
The colours may be brushed on greenware which is to be bisque fired before applying a covering glaze or on bisqueware, then a covering glaze applied. For opaque coverage by brushing, the consistency of the colour in the jar is correct.
Velvets have a wide firing range 1040°C - 1220°C, they are also Lead Free.
