Ceraline Crayons are a new and exciting medium formulated to impart coloured surfaces to ceramics. The crayons unique feature combines ceramic stains and metallic coloring oxides in a wax base which can be used to decorate ceramic surfaces.
They can be applied to bisque in any number of imaginative ways from simple line drawings to applications of wide areas of color. They impart vibrant color, which is indelible and will not "dust" or rub off during applications.
Glaze over CERALINE lines
CERALINE lines cannot be covered by glaze. While glazing and firing the lines form a barrier between the surfaces to be glazed. The result is a mat coloured line between glazed surfaces, comparable to the ancient Cuerda Seca technique
Each crayon is 5.75" long.
Earthenware - can be fired from 1046C - 1101C. Ceraline crayons can be fired to higher temperatures, but colors will vary.
Stoneware - Fire to1270C
