"As my wheel doesn't have batt pins, I made myself a russian doll type batt system to go over the wheel head. This batmate works well underneath it to stop it slipping. I've have also tried using it for turning the bottom of pots. It wasn't perfect, but much easier than sticking them down with lumps of clay. I did also try it with a large batt (same size as the wheel). Again it wasn't perfect, but good enough and much easier than sticking the batt to the wheelhead with clay. It could do with some concentric circles printed on it. I'm sure I can do that myself fairly easily, but I'll have to dry it out properly first. I'd say it is worth the money."
